Verdict: The Accra Circuit Court convicted her on charges of defrauding by false pretences, including running a money-doubling scheme through advertisements, and duping members of her congregation  . Scam Details: Agradaa allegedly promoted a scheme through TV, newspapers, and social media where congregants were promised their money would be doubled after attending an all-night church service  . The court found that numerous church attendees handed over funds with the belief they’d receive double, but the payout never happened (). Next Steps: Having been found guilty, Agradaa will soon be sentenced. Additionally, the court has ordered her to undergo a pregnancy test ahead of sentencing  . Past Context: This isn’t her first encounter with the law. In 2022, she faced similar charges and was remanded after allegations of charlatanic advertisements and fraudulent money-doubling  . She previously denied fraud, claiming the collections were fundraising and offerings, though the court concluded otherwise  .
