Accra Tragedy: Man Reportedly Jumps to Death from Dimples Overpass Near MultiChoice Ghana
Accra — A tragic incident unfolded this afternoon when a man reportedly jumped from the Dimples Overpass, located near the MultiChoice Ghana head office at Abofu Junction, Achimota.
Eyewitnesses say the man, believed to be in his late 30s, was seen pacing along the overpass before suddenly leaping onto the road below. The impact left him with severe injuries, and bystanders quickly gathered at the scene.
Emergency responders, including the Ghana Police Service and the National Ambulance Service, arrived shortly after. However, attempts to save the victim’s life proved futile, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have yet to officially confirm the victim’s identity or the motive behind the incident. The body has since been conveyed to a nearby morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Police have cordoned off the area to facilitate investigations and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The incident has left many in shock, with social media users expressing sadness and calling for more attention to mental health issues in Ghana.
