The Office of the Special Prosecutor has officially triggered an Interpol Red Notice for the arrest and extradition of Ghana’s former Finance Minister, Kenneth Ofori-Atta.
This drastic move comes after Mr. Ofori-Atta reportedly failed to honor multiple invitations for interrogation over high-profile financial investigations, including allegations surrounding payments linked to the controversial National Cathedral project and other fiscal dealings under his tenure.
Sources within the OSP say all efforts to reach him through formal channels have failed, prompting the request for international law enforcement cooperation.
