A popular TikToker known as GhKobby is at the center of a disturbing incident after he reportedly accidentally discharged a firearm, injuring his girlfriend, YaaBaby, during a misunderstanding at a local chop bar in Yeji.
According to eyewitnesses, what began as a casual outing turned chaotic following an argument. During the confusion, GhKobby allegedly pulled out a weapon, which accidentally went off, hitting the young woman identified as YaaBaby. She was quickly rushed to a nearby clinic for emergency care.
The incident, which occurred in a packed eating joint, caused panic among patrons. Police arrived on the scene shortly after and have since arrested three young men believed to be connected to the incident, either as accomplices or for interfering with police work.
The Ghana Police Service in the Bono East Region has confirmed the arrests and says investigations are ongoing. GhKobby is also in custody and will face charges pending the outcome of the inquiry.
